Three poems... Or riddles... Or both?

Greetings strong friends, In this post I want to share three poems from a collection that I'm currently working on. It's a colection of poems that works as riddles with ending rhymes. The poems are about random objects, but most of them you'll find in big offices. Please take a guess at want to you the poems are about, but most importantly I hope that you enjoy the poems and they give just a little food for thought.  I will try to post once a week with more content and share a little more of my work. Please enjoy. :) Pocket Prison I carry tiny folks inside, With faces smug and eyes so wide, They never talk but love to stay, Until I give them all away. I snap my jaws to keep them tight, But still, they vanish overnight, They run to coffee, food, and fun, And poof! By noon, they're nearly done. I’m thinner when I’ve done my chore, But somehow, life just wants me more, They fill me up, I shed a tear, And lose them all again next year. Shaky Little Winter Tra...

Three poems from the darkness...

Greetings strong friends!  In this post I will share three poems from 'Monster Poetry'. They are deep and dark, and a little funny, because that is needed. I will try to make some longer post with more content than just posting one poem at a time. Though, this means that I won't be posting as often as I did from the beginning. I'm very proud of my work, and I really like sharing it and get feedback, and just spread some joy, entertainment and food for thoughts.  I hope it works out and that you'll enjoy it.  The Cranky Count In a creepy castle, dark and tall, Lives Dracula, the scariest of all. With fangs like knives and a cloak so black, He’s always sneaking, so watch your back! He’s ancient, cranky, and hates sunlight, He’d rather lurk in the dead of night. Sipping “tomato juice” from a glass, But blink too long, and he’ll be on your neck, fast! He thinks he’s classy, dressed in style, But smelling like dust, he’ll cramp your smile. He’s got no Wi-Fi...

A few jokes #2

A few jokes #2   What do you call an alligator in a vest? An investigator...     What do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummi bear...     What do you call a sleeping bull? A bulldozer... Why don't oysters donate to charity? Because they are shellfish!     Why did the frog take the bus to work? Because his car got toad...     Why are fish so smart? Because they live in schools.     My fridge is a terrible secret keeper. It keeps spilling the beans...     I tried to organize my socks, but they refused to tow the line... And that sucks! I hope this brings a little smile or some giggles. :)

Poem: Make Crops, Not War!

Make Crops, Not War! From Aotearoa, far and wide, Came a god of peace, so no need to hide. With kūmara as his grand delight, He keeps our tummies full at night. His carvings stand with moko bold, A digging stick he loves to hold. No six-pack abs, no warrior’s spear, Just farming skills and lack of fear. While Tūmatauenga fights and swears, Rongo's chilling… No war, no cares. "Let’s plant some yams!" he tells the land, And peace breaks out just as he planned. He talks to gods, and he calls the rain, So crops will grow and ease our pain. Forget your swords, just grab a hoe, And let the sweet potatoes flow! Yes, this is Rongo, who is kind and grand, The chillest god across the land. No battle scars, no mighty roars, Just farming vibes and zero wars! - Kasper F. Christiansen Some great points are given here. Might be a god worth praying to. I hope you enjoyed this poem.

Poem: Morning's Kiss

Morning's Kiss Golden beams wake the sleepy earth, Painting skies with a whispered birth. Warming touch on the morning dew, Kissing flowers with shades anew. Gentle glow in the afternoon, Melts away the cold too soon. Dancing light on the ocean's crest, Guiding hearts to a place of rest. Fading blush at the twilight's call, Soft embrace as shadows fall. Lingering hues in the evening's grace, A quiet promise, day's embrace. - Kasper F. Christiansen This is truly the beauty of waking up early. Getting those morning vibes. Get a jump on the day with a warm and golden beam. It's amazing. I hope you enjoyed this poem.

Poem: We Socks, Big Smiles

Wet Socks, Big Smiles With boots on tight, I take a leap, Into a puddle that's ankle-deep. Water splashes high and I feel so bold, But now my toes are icy cold! I jump again and can't help but grin, As raindrops soak me, chin to shin. The puddles win, my socks are wet, But it's the most fun I've had yet! - Kasper F. Christiansen As a child this is pure joy, fun and a very normal thing to do. I believe more should do this. Even adults. Leave the smartphone at home.  Go outside. Jump in a puddle. As high as you can. Splash!  This is something we miss in our lives. That simple fun and joy. I hope you enjoyed this little poem.

Poem: Breathe and Stay Calm

Breathe and Stay Calm When life’s a storm, and winds grow strong, Just breathe in deep, where you belong. Let silence fill the air you take, And find the peace no fear can shake. In every breath, the world slows down, No need to wear a heavy crown. Release the weight that burdens you, And see the sky return to blue. Stay calm within, don’t chase the race, The quiet heart will find its pace. With steady hands and open mind, You’ll leave the rush and peace you’ll find. So breathe, let go, no need to fight, In stillness waits the softest light. For in the calm, life’s clearer way, You’ll face the dawn of a brighter day. - Kasper F. Christiansen This poem has helped me many times and still is. It's deep and touching. It's honest and true. I believe we all need this once in a while. I hope you enjoy this poem as much as I do.
