Three poems from the darkness...

Greetings strong friends!

In this post I will share three poems from 'Monster Poetry'. They are deep and dark, and a little funny, because that is needed. I will try to make some longer post with more content than just posting one poem at a time. Though, this means that I won't be posting as often as I did from the beginning. I'm very proud of my work, and I really like sharing it and get feedback, and just spread some joy, entertainment and food for thoughts.

I hope it works out and that you'll enjoy it.

The Cranky Count

In a creepy castle, dark and tall,
Lives Dracula, the scariest of all.
With fangs like knives and a cloak so black,
He’s always sneaking, so watch your back!

He’s ancient, cranky, and hates sunlight,
He’d rather lurk in the dead of night.
Sipping “tomato juice” from a glass,
But blink too long, and he’ll be on your neck, fast!

He thinks he’s classy, dressed in style,
But smelling like dust, he’ll cramp your smile.
He’s got no Wi-Fi, and hates selfies too,
Not your average vampire, he’s way too blue.

So if you see him, don’t scream or stare,
Just toss some garlic through the air.
He’ll hiss, he’ll shriek, and then he’ll flee,
Back to his coffin… for eternity!

The Kraken’s Lair

Deep in the ocean, cold and black,
Lurks a beast who’s ready to snack.
With tentacles long and eyes that glow,
It waits for ships that sail too slow.
A giant squid? Or something worse?
The Kraken’s hunger is a curse!

It wraps around the hull so tight,
A hug of doom, a sailor's fright!
The captain screams, "We’re gonna sink!"
While Kraken grins with eyes that blink.
A twist and splash, then comes a roar,
As whirlpools spin from ocean’s floor.

Yet maybe, deep beneath the foam,
The Kraken's just there, all alone.
A grumpy, giant squid by trade,
In legends spun and stories made.
But still it waits, with hungry glee,
A monster waiting out at sea!

The Beast of the Labyrinth

In a maze dark and deep, where shadows creep,
Lurks a bull-headed beast with secrets to keep.
With muscles of iron and eyes like fire,
He waits for the foolish who stumble, who tire.
They say he dines on kids who stray,
In his twisted halls, they’re his gourmet buffet!

But don’t bring him flowers or wear your best clothes,
He’s not much for company or washing his nose…
His breath smells like onions; his snort shakes the ground,
And one whiff of his armpits? You'll spin ‘round and ‘round!
Yet tread too close, and you're on his menu,
A snack for the monster with a laugh like a moo!

But Theseus, the hero, one night made a plan:
He’d trick this big bully, like a clever young man.
With a thread to retrace where he’d tread and roam,
He ventured down paths no one dared to call home.
With a leap and a swing, he gave a grand roar,
And brought down the mighty, foul Minotaur!

The reasons for the chosen monsters are that they are just awesome, deep, scary and exciting in many ways. They all have great stories and are worth sharing.

Thank you for visiting.

Much appreciated and best regards,
