Poem: We Socks, Big Smiles

Wet Socks, Big Smiles

With boots on tight, I take a leap,
Into a puddle that's ankle-deep.
Water splashes high and I feel so bold,
But now my toes are icy cold!

I jump again and can't help but grin,
As raindrops soak me, chin to shin.
The puddles win, my socks are wet,
But it's the most fun I've had yet!

As a child this is pure joy, fun and a very normal thing to do.

I believe more should do this. Even adults. Leave the smartphone at home.

Go outside. Jump in a puddle. As high as you can. Splash!

This is something we miss in our lives. That simple fun and joy.

I hope you enjoyed this little poem.
