Poem: The Misunderstood Monster

The Misunderstood Monster

He is patched-up strange, a walking fright,
With stitches showing and skin so tight!
One eye is too big, the other small,
He lumbers down the empty hall.
Don’t make him mad, or else beware,
He’ll give you quite the spooky scare!

He has read some books, so he’s super smart,
But “normal life” is not his art.
Just wants a friend, but gets a scream,
Like he’s the villain of a meme.
Kids run away when he says “Hi!”
Guess charm was never his strong guy.

Abandoned by his “dad,” poor dude,
Now all he’s got is an attitude.
A monster? Sure, but feel his pain,
Because people treat him with disdain.
So if you see him on the street,
Just wave, who knows? He might be sweet!
